Things to know about Jonathan

At a time when so much of the mainstream media has abdicated its responsibilities, ABC News chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl stands out as a watchdog journalist. He has drawn widespread attention (and attacks from the Left) for asking hard-hitting questions of the White House and challenging misleading claims by the Obama administration.

Jonathan’s career began with the help of ISI. At Vassar College he edited the ISI Collegiate Network publication the Vassar Spectator—where he worked with Marc Thiessen, now a bestselling author and Washington Post columnist, and Richard Miniter, author of several bestselling books. He also helped launch ISI’s Campus, a national student publication. A Collegiate Network fellowship placed him at the New Republic.

Before joining ABC News, Jonathan worked as a reporter at the New York Postand a correspondent for CNN. His reporting has received several honors, including an Emmy Award.
