Before formal submission of unsolicited material, writers should consult with Modern Age editor Daniel McCarthy at daniel@mccarthydc.com.
Essays should not exceed 4,000 words, and book reviews, 2,000 words. Notes should be formatted as endnotes and kept to a bare minimum.
2. How do I submit a poem in Modern Age?
Send up to five poems in a single Word or .pdf file to poetry editor James Matthew Wilson at james.m.wilson@villanova.edu. Please include email and postal address and a brief cover letter.
