Dr. Röpke (or Roepke) was an economist, lecturer, and an author of more than twenty books, including Economics of the Free Society (Regnery, 1963), The Moral Foundations of Civil Society(Transaction, 1996) and The Social Crisis of Our Time (W. Hodge, 1959).
