Thomas G. West

Professor West is a Senior Fellow of the Claremont Institute and Professor of Politics at the University of Dallas. He is the author of Plato’s Apology of Socrates: An Interpretation (Cornell University Press, 1979). A revised edition of Four Texts on Socrates: Plato’s Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, and Aristophanes’ Clouds (co-translated with Grace West) appeared in 1998. His latest book is Vindicating the Founders: Race, Sex, Class, and Justice in the Origins of America (Rowman & Littlefield, 1997).
