Robert Penn Warren

Dr. Warren was one of the twelve Southern Agrarians and a distinguished man of letters. His novel All the Kings Men (Harcourt, Brace, 1946) won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature, and he twice won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, in 1958 for Promises: Poems, 1954-1956 (Random House, 1957) and in 1979 for Now and Then: Poems, 1976-1978 (Random House, 1978).
