Nikos A. Salingaros, PhD
Nikos A. Salingaros, PhD, is an architectural theorist and urbanist. His works on architectural and urban design, which have been translated into six languages, have put him on the forefront of deriving evidence-based rules for the built environment using scientific methods and logic. In 2008 the Utne Reader named him one of the “50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World.” Dr. Salingaros has received the Stockholm Cultural Award for architecture and the Clem Labine Traditional Building Award. Both an artist and a scientist, he is professor of mathematics at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He also serves on the architecture faculty of Università di Roma Tre (Italy) and the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Queretaro (Mexico).
