Elizabeth Fox-Genovese
Professor of the Humanities and Professor of History, Emory University
Dr. Elizabeth Fox-Genovese was Eléanore Raoul Professor of the Humanities and Professor of History at Emory University in Atlanta. Prior to arriving at Emory University in 1986, Fox-Genovese taught at SUNY Binghamton. She was also an Associate Professor of history and liberal arts at the University of Rochester. She had earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
Dr. Fox-Genovese has authored several books including her most well-known: Feminism Is Not the Story of My Life: How Today’s Feminist Elite Has Lost Touch With the Real Concerns of Women, and Reconstructing History: The Emergence of a New Historical Society. Dr. Fox-Genovese has appeared on CSPAN, and has had articles in many of the nation’s top newspapers including the Boston Globe. She wrote and lectured widely on issues related to women and society, education, and the culture of the South.
