Cleanth Brooks
Dr. Brooks was an influential advocate of the New Criticism in literature. During the 1930s he taught at Louisiana State University. The Well Wrought Urn: Studies in the Structure of Poetry (Reynal & Hitchcock, 1947) is one of his best-known works.
