The most shocking destruction of U.S. strategic power and influence since the Vietnam War has occurred in a stunningly short period of time. As Obama waged his war against tax payers, Christians, and lovers of liberty, he let America’s real enemies have free reign.
I make no argument here regarding the wisdom of the initial of hostilities in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, it is a dereliction of duty for our president to abandon the hard won gains by our soldiers with so little regard for their sacrifice.
One of the first victories of ISIS happened in the city of Fallujah. This city where one of the toughest battles of our Marines in modern times occurred was left to fall to this barbaric junta with little resistance.
The rise of ISIS combined with Obama’s castrated reaction to it, has convinced the people of Iraq and the world that the U.S. does not keep promises. It does not guard the helpless; it does not stand up to evil.
Under the reigns of Obama, our confidence that we are a great people capable of defending our interests has waned to a level not plumed for decades. While ISIS mocks our president and our soldiers, we stand ideally by.
The fundamentalist Islamic movement will not subside. They have inspiration, a commitment to something they believe to be transcendent. They will fight to the death to enact their demonic ends. Obama and liberals of his persuasion have no spirit which can match these convictions. Their radical naïveté in the face of evil makes them powerless to resist groups like ISIS.
If the wicked will not “sit down at the table” and talk, the left have virtually no other responses in their repertoire. They do not believe in peace through strength. They believe in peace through sycophantic flattery of the enemy’s religion, self-flagellation of their country, and a stubborn refusal to admit the existence of true evil (if it appears in someone who is not a white male).
