Cynical Theories: Living in a Woke World

Learn How to Navigate Wokeness with the Help of Two Expert Guides: Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay

Sick of getting harassed by “woke” ideas?

Worried about oppressive worldviews becoming entrenched in academia and American culture in the name of social justice?

You’re not the only one.

Scholars Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay are, too. And they’re fighting back.

In 2018 they made international headlines—including on the front page of the New York Times—for spearheading the “Grievance Studies Affair.” They exposed the problems in “social justice” scholarship…and the incoherence of woke ideas…by publishing bogus academic papers in peer-reviewed journals.

And their new book, Cynical Theories, has already become an Amazon #1 bestseller and received high praise from the likes of Steven Pinker and Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

In this exclusive webinar, Pluckrose and Lindsay will walk you through the realities, inconsistencies, and hidden dangers of critical theories—and show you the practical strategies for offering something better.

These are no right-wing warriors. Both are self-described left-leaning liberals alarmed by the ways activism has corrupted scholarship.

The question is: Will we listen?

Join us Saturday, October 10, at 2 p.m. ET for this exclusive webinar. Bring your questions, because Lindsay and Pluckrose will answer them in real time.

You must be a student member of ISI to attend. Members will also receive a recording of the webinar.
