Overview

Founded in 1953, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) is a nonprofit organization that educates for liberty, equipping future leaders to embrace and defend the principles and virtues that make America and Western civilization good, free, and prosperous.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career professional to join a growing production/social media team and develop expertise in podcast/video production, studio operations, social media, and graphic design. The Associate Content Marketer will benefit from ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities over time.

Previous ISI speakers/guests include J.D. Vance, Tucker Carlson, Michael Knowles, Vivek Ramaswamy, and more.

The right candidate will share ISI’s commitment to teaching conservative thought and classical leadership to rising generations and he/she will bring a “humble, hungry, and smart” approach to learning about and excelling in digital media and content marketing.

Reporting to the Producer/Digital Content Director or contractor equivalent, this is a full-time, salaried position with benefits based at ISI’s Kirby Campus, situated on a historic 20-acre preserve in Wilmington, Delaware’s Brandywine Valley region. The campus also features a newly built podcast/video media studio and event hall. Remote work is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of the digital/studio content production and distribution process, e.g., setting up and operating recording equipment, editing content, designing thumbnails, and publishing and promoting finished content
  • Craft and schedule posts across the Institute’s social media channels, including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, and more
  • Contribute to and coordinate marketing campaigns in an array of channels (email, social media, print, basic graphic design), maintaining brand consistency and ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional goals such as event promotion and year-end fundraising
  • Coordinate with outside contractors such as video editors, copywriters, graphic designers, and printers as needed
  • Work with colleagues to curate and repurpose content from ISI’s vast archive of material—decades of lectures, debates, essay, books etc.—to engage target audiences using video and audio

Qualifications

While this is an entry-level/early career role and extensive experience isn’t required, the ideal candidate will possess some prior experience with video/podcast production, graphic design, social media marketing, and/or related fields. He or she will be a highly organized, tech-savvy, and creative self-starter, eager to receive coaching and master the nuts and bolts of digital content creation, studio equipment, and social media marketing.

He or she will also have the ability and willingness to travel, occasionally on short notice.

Enthusiasm for ISI’s work to educate for liberty and pass on the enduring principles of Western civilization is a must, along with a passion for keeping up with personalities and trends in the political and intellectual media landscape.
