Eric Voegelin
Professor of Political Science, Louisiana State University and Hoover Institution at Stanford University
Eric Voegelin, who was born in Austria, taught for most of his career at Louisiana State University. In 1958 he returned to Europe to become the director of the Institute for Political Science at the University of Munich. A prodigious writer, he is perhaps most renowned for his multivolume work, Order and History.
